Coaching Change Coming Print E-mail

Rumors are the fuel that keep interest in the Warriors fired up in the months leading up to training camp.  With their only move a Derek Fisher salary dump, the Warriors need to do something to shake up the team, and wake up the fans.

No player moves or trades on the horizon, and only 'internal development' to rely on, that only leaves one more offseason card to play,  coaching change.  Monty was hired in the pre-Baron era, and it was clear they did not get along last season.  Monty still seems overmatched at the NBA level, although the Warriors have never looked so good with his drawn up plays coming out of a timeout.  Remember under Cowens they couldn't even get the ball in?

Rumors are surfacing again of a coaching change to come this week.  Monty out, but who in? Larry Brown, the return of Nellie?  A Nellie return would certainly breathe new life into the Warriors, with an up-tempo running game that would excite the fans, and the players.

Probably just a pipe dream, and even if there is a coaching change, don't expect anything more than an early exit from the first round, if the Warriors do manage to get to the playoffs.
