The Warriors get more athletic and dump salary in 8 player trade with Indiana. Diogu , Murph leavy , and McLeod on the way out. Jackson , Harrington , Powell and Jasikeviscius come to the Warriors. 80+ million in salary over the next 5 years goes with the departing Warriors. Murphy a decent outside shooter but slow footed defender, Dunleavy a good passer but poor shooter and outside defender along with Diogu an undersized low post player who struggles in an up tempo style of play, along with McLeod the lone holdover from the Fisher trade with Utah, all leave the Warriors. Murphleavy has seen little playing time even with extensive injuries to other warriors. Matt Barnes a training camp invitee has been outplaying Murphleavy, and Diogu has been glued to the bench even though he can score inside and hits his free throws. More re-arranging deck chairs on the titanic, or a move to get under the luxury tax threshhold in order to have money to sign Pietrus, Biedrins and Monta Ellis? You can't question something needed to be done with all of the innefective front court players that were supposed to thrive in Don Nelson's up tempo style, but ended up having all of their shortcomings exposed instead.
