For once rumors in Warriorsworld of 2 more weeks were true. According to the official Warriors.com site , the Montgomery era is over.  ESPN is reporting that Nellie is taking over as the new head coach.  Nellie brings an immediate identify back to the Warriors, we now know what the team is going to be all about.  We're going to run, but are we going to win?  

I feel bad for Montgomery, who had a bit of the bait and switch with personnel, but everyone has to face change in his or her jobs.  With his buyout I am sure Mike can afford to buy a few hundred thousand copies of 'Who Moved My Cheese."

Only time will tell if this is another Warriors front office fire drill intended to sell tickets.  Keep in mind, that it may cost a million or two to fire Montgomery, and 4 to hire Nelson, but if the Warriors sell only another 1,000 season tickets because of it, they make it all back in 1 season.
