Steph Curry has been phenomenal this season and is a strong candidate for the NBA MVP. Curry’s accomplishments on the court have made him one of the faces of the NBA and his popularity has never been bigger. Curry has fans all around the world, which is why he received the most fan votes for this year’s All-Star game.
One of Curry’s biggest fans happens to be one of the greatest boxers of all time, Manny Pacquiao. The WBO welterweight champion loves basketball and Curry is one of his favorite players in the league.
With a little over a month left before his mega fight against Floyd Mayweather, Curry decided to send Pacquiao a care package. The Splash brother sent an autographed home jersey and an Active Faith wristband.
Our friends over at @Tradezby sent over some photos of Pacquiao receiving the jersey and wristband and we also have a video of Curry signing the jersey:
Pacquiao has familiarity with the Warriors and Steph Curry. Before his title defense against Chris Algieri, Pacquiao was in the Bay Area promoting the fight and he needed to shoot some hoops. The Warriors invited him to their practice facilities and he was able to show off his skills while rocking a Curry jersey.
Both Curry and Pacquiao are active in their faith, so Curry sending this care package makes a lot sense. Both are very hard working athletes that have perfected their craft and now they both will be looking to add some new hardware in the near future.
The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is expected to be the biggest fight of all time. After years of the public demanding this fight to happen, it will finally go down on May 2nd. Curry hasn’t publicly stated who he will be rooting for, but he will defintely be watching with the rest of the world.
