2014 NBA All-Star Weekend: Harrison Barnes To Participate In Dunk Contest
Despite struggling in his sophomore season for the Golden State Warriors, forward Harrison Barnes will be representing the franchise well during All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. After it was revealed that he would participate in the Rising Stars Challenge, Barnes will also be competing in this year’s Slam Dunk Contest.
According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, Barnes will compete against the best dunkers in the league, including reigning dunk champion Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors:

While Barnes has been in a major slump, he remains one of the best dunkers in the league and has the opportunity to showcase it in front of millions of fans. Although it has been a disappointing first half to the season, Barnes is confident that he’ll find his way again and be more consistent.
For the Warriors to make their championship aspirations become reality, Barnes will need to establish himself as the team’s sixth man. In 45 games this season, Barnes is averaging 10.0 points and 4.1 rebounds while shooting only 40 percent from the field.
