The Golden State Warriors have acquired the draft rights to Serbian guard Nemanja Nedovic (nay-MON-yah ned-OH-vitch), who was selected with the 30th overall pick in the First Round of this evening’s NBA Draft, from the Phoenix Suns, in exchange for the draft rights to the 29th pick in tonight’s draft (Archie Goodwin) and guard Malcolm Lee, the team announced. –

Who Is he?

  1. Nedovic recently had this to say about himself, “I’m like European Derrick Rose but three times slower”
  2. Currently playing for Lithuanian club Lietuvos rytas where he’s averaging 11.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
  3. Loves to penetrate and is explosive to the rim.  As evidenced below.  Check out his full draft profile, here.

Warriors GM Bob Myers discusses the Nemanja Nedovic, here.

When will we see him?

  • Warriors hope to have him on their Summer League roster this summer in Las Vegas.  Warriors play their first game July 13 vs the Washing Wizards.  Full schedule here.
  • Warriors GM Bob Myers says he anticipates Nedovic to be with the Warriors either this season or next.  Nedovic does have a buyout which needs to be negotiated with his team back in Europe prior to him coming to the Warriors.
