With Stephen Curry setting the world on fire this season, now is as good a time as any to have a look at Steph by the numbers this year.

Stephen Curry has made 640 shots from 3-point range in his four seasons in the NBA. The league has obviously changed in last few decades, but have a look at some notable shooters and their career exploits from downtown.

  • Wally Szczerbiak in 14 seasons: 590 3-pointers made.
  • Craig Hodges in 10 seasons: 560 3-pointers made.
  • Steve Kerr in 15 seasons: 726 3-pointers made.
  • Larry Bird in 13 seasons: 649 3-pointers made.

  • Dennis Scott in 14 seasons: 1,214 3-pointers made (Steph is on pace to surpass him in eight seasons).

The NBA record for most 3-pointers made in one season is 269. Ray Allen accomplished the feat during the 2005-06 regular season. Stephen Curry has made 268 this year and has one game left to break the record.

While we’re here, check out some more numbers. Make what you want of this info:
